In 1990, perhaps. However, the kids that grew up playing video games in the late 80s and 90s have now aged, and interactive technology has become wildly prevalent. That generation was truly the first generation to grow up with such forms of entertainment. In 30 years, you'll see a somewhat even spectrum of self identifying "gamers" from age 15 to 70.
Really, though, where do you draw the line at this point? Fantasy football? Video poker? Clash of Clans on your smartphone?
Let's think about what you're doing at this moment - you're sitting behind a screen of some kind and interacting with pixels. The alternating patterns of pixels on your screen conveys a message, to which you respond to with your mouse, keyboard, or touch panel.
