yes ... step-uncle killed by ex wife, tho she claims self defense ... knew the guy fairly well and don't buy it ...

I knew a couple, in college, that had a tempestuous relationship. Eventually, she had enough of it, and got out-- he went bonkers, and killed her.
He was sentenced to death, but eventually it was reduced:
