Sure, but frick ESPN for even making it an issue
look at it from their perspective
they get one game a week, sure it's primetime, but one game...other than that the only way to suckle at the fat NFL teet is to push stories to keep people interested between games...I guess people like watching debates about tebow or something stupid rather than highlights/BRIEF (I stress brief) analysis on repeat
I had high hopes for the NFLN, they used to have cool shows. NFL Playbook was awesome, then in 09 I noticed the switch...pushing their non talents, burying or changing the roles of their actual talents...they became ESPN...

And there you have it folks. Your typical tolerant liberal.

"Tolerance" was in their playbook when they thought it would garner them some sympathy.
When they saw it wasn't working (primarily because their ideas are bad), the gloves came off.

they're the ideal candidate...people who are protective of their children to the last innocuous detail.
don't worry, you'll get to jackoff in a turkey baster soon enough...sounds like a special moment

I am very happy in my intolerance of stupidity and ignorance. I would never claim to be able to tolerate such things. I'm guessing that you don't either in your real life.

these guys are jerkoffs, but at getting worked up about some strangers protesting over an entertainment event.
people/consumers get to voice their opinions the same as you. You obviously want tolerance for your beliefs, so how about reciprocating. Where's the harm? Most people think they're wasting their time like mo mos so if you loathe them, enjoy the futility of it all
picketing isn't an intolerant act. They're watching the game, they just want to voice their opinion.
getting some internet executive fired because his religious beliefs conflict with your lifestyle or sexuality, that's intolerant.

Sure. Where have I stated otherwise?

Not sure what this means. If they go out there and protest, they will do so entirely unmolested by me.

There is no harm...to me. I actually hope they show up in big numbers so the stupidity will be on full display and advance their extinction.

The act isn't intolerant. Their opinion is obviously intolerant (i.e. they don't want a sports team hiring a low-level employee because of gay). Either way, I'm not the one who brought up tolerance, so you are barking up the wrong tree.

Sooo, in your opinion, they aren't seeking to keep Sam from being employed?

They are also going to protest all the guys living with women who are not their wives.
No probably not. This has nothing to do with sin.

I assume they are also heading over to the WNBA finals where Brittney Griner (among others) will be playing for the championship while also being openly gay.
No?
I wonder why.

Probably because most people don't know that because they don't make it an issue all over ESPN. Which is how it should be.

I highly doubt these people support adultery.

nope,
IMO they know they have no prayer at strong arming the strongest brand in the world. They just want to have their moment and voice their discontent. I think it's a waste of time and there isn't anything to worry about, but they don't want to talk to their kids about sex because of a football broadcast. More sympathetic, I could not be. My solution? don't watch the game.

The real solution is realize you don't have to talk to your kid about sex because of a football broadcast. I don't understand why they keep assuming they will have to.

quote:I mean, that would be my guess. I'm not a parent yet. However, they're going to be talking about it non stop...a young kid, just tell them he likes other boys, I imagine the kid would laugh and say ooh without a deep discussion being necessary. I don't know though. I don't have kids

I oppose homosexuality and think its wrong and a sin as much as most Christians do but protesting him and the Cowboys for this is wrong
While they are at it they should protest domestic abuse, sexual impurity, drug use, and other bad behavior coming out of NFL locker rooms.
Either protest all sinful behavior or mind your own business and worry about yourself.

Protest no sinful behavior at all for a person specifically would be the biblical answer.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Watching football with your kid should involve talking about football, the players kills, sometimes the coaching strategy. I see it as a nice, non-intimidating form of father-son/daughter time. Invoking something like homosexuality into the conversation is bothersome. That's not why most people watch football.
