hence the flash in the pan comment. Korn may have invented it, but if the talent isn't there, the staying power decreases.
When bands like LB and Staind came and pioneered it, their talent pushed it and created this phenomenon that was 90'-00's nu metal wave.

Korn has headlined Mayhem Fest a few times. They also headlined Lollapalooza once. LB was broken up for a few years and only recently came back. They don't even tour America because everyone hates them. They are apparently still big in Europe though.
