I've always considered a porter to be a lite stout due to a typically lower ABV.
I'd recommend Southern Tier Choklat, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Ft. Collins Chocolate Stout, or if you can find it Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout which will be somewhat lower ABV and more similar to a porter.

Maybe the porters that many breweries make today are VERY similar, but the technical description is different. American brewing has taken many liberties with the traditional styles (and beer in general).
