They better gin up another race riot otherwise November could get pretty ugly for the Dems.

It's going to be ugly for the Dems no matter what. Race riots and other actions to gin up their base may just keep it from being a total and complete wipeout.

Sen. Dick Durban (D-IL) is polling too close for comfort. He's going to win, given the Chicago machine, but him being in a somewhat competitive race means a lot of money going there that is NOT going to go to vulnerable incumbents or open seats in Iowa, Louisiana, North Carolina, Montana, etc.

The Dem governor of Connecticut is polling about 7% behind the Republican challenger he beat in a nail-biter four years ago. The difference-maker this time around is that the governor pushed hard for gun-control measures after Sandy Hook which have not gone over well with people in the state, as even Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) is having to admit that they wouldn't have done anything to prevent the tragedy.

If he loses, this means that the Dems will have suffered setbacks in two states that pushed gun control measures hard after shooting tragedies, along with Colorado. The only state to have pushed hard for gun control without a likelihood of massive Dem losses appears to be New York.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

This doesn't even go into the threat of Obama doing amnesty by executive order, which is opposed by about 60% or more of the country.

If he does that before the election, I figure that it will cause a shift of at least 5-10% toward Republicans in a lot of races. Not enough to beat a strong Dem but enough to wipe out a bunch of vulnerable ones.
