Post game Traffic Question. Lot 402

If I am in lot 402 and am heading back towards Central Louisiana, will the contra flow direct me east bound? Is there way heads toward downtown from the lot? It looks like everything from the lot goes east bound.

You fricked brah.
But seriously, yes you are going to have a tough time getting home from there from the way I understand all the contraflow.

You will have to take highland to Lee to get back on interstate

Nicholson Ext will merge with Highland Rd and at the South Gate you will cross East Parker. If you can turn left on East Parker that will put you on S.Stadium which will put you on Stanford and straight to I-10.
Making a left on East Parker may not be that hard with contraflow but the Ag Center Parking lots will be dumping a bunch of cars out and it may be slow going to get to S.Stadium.

Looks to me like you can exit the lot and go north to South Stadium, then head west to river road, then north to the interstate. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

According to everything ive been told and read, apart from that map, all lanes of Nicholson will head south.

402 exits to Nicholson Extension... heads to Highland Rd.

As of last year, you could go from 402 to 401 after the game and head north on Nicholson towards downtown. Looks like that might not be the case anymore, based on the map above.

Cant tell from the map if it will be open but if he is in the section of 402 (there are two) that connects to 401 then yes, absolutely, go through the 401 lot to S. Stadium and he is home free. I would not put it past our parking planners to have that egress cut off.

Just be patient... We always eat and listen to the post game and wait for the lots to clear out.
A lot better than sitting in grid locked traffic

There seems to be confusion as to what LSU is doing this year. According to what ive read, South Stadium to North Stadium will be completely closed after the games. South Stadium and Nicholson will have all lanes heading south. Which tells me, even if you can go from 402 to 401, you will end up being directed onto Nicholson heading South.

Southbound traffic on Nicholson Drive/Highway 30 will be contraflowed (all lanes in use) from south of Skip Bertman Drive to Bluebonnet Drive.

Nicholson Drive between North Stadium and South Stadium Drive will have no post-game vehicular traffic. Traffic will be forced north and south at these streets with no cross traffic allowed.
Picuter of how 401 & 402 will empty onto Nicholson

If you just stick around until the end of the game you will be able to easily get wherever you need with zero traffic. Everybody else will have left in the 3rd quarter.

Are you leaving at halftime when everybody else does or staying till the end? Makes a world of difference.
