How much ice should there be? Should it always be the same? What variation is acceptable?

What should average surface temperatures be on this planet? What about CO2 concentrations - what should they be?

How do we determine when it is 'fixed?'

What is the benchmark global temperature and volume of ice that will demonstrate the 'problem' is 'fixed?'
