Nope. The gratuitous face punches once they have him on the ground are obviously battery. When those security guys decided to play police and attempt an arrest, they assumed the same responsibilities as a cop. If that was a police officer punching a guy like that, the OT would have exploded.
No question that the choking, body slam and face punches after he is down are problematic for the security guys.
As a private citizen, you can use force to protect yourself or another. They weren't doing that in the beginning, then when he submits and they keep it up, that is a battery.
