UCLA was handed win by UVA who turned the ball over 3 times and practically escorted UCLA to the endzone on each one.
Meanwhile, UCLA offense scores 1 TD against 'vaunted' UVA defense.
Not a federal case but Coaches don't watch games; LSU should be no lower than 11.
Just sayin'.

UVA's D did look pretty good though. I dont know anything about how they're suppose to be but they were flying around the ball.

Wisconsin should not have dropped so far. USCe should have dropped out. Slaughtered at home.

And it pains me to say that.
aTm did look great, but don't let them scare you. Remember what THAT offense WITH Manziel has done against LSU defenses. Chief has that deal figured out. Others - notably Saban - don't.
The more the results of our game marinates, the more I like us. I like the fact that we're 13 now, still under the radar too.

USCe is a top 15 program, so no I didn't base that on preseason rankings alone.
It's pretty easy to determine when a team is playing athletes or scrubs. West Virginia has sucked arse for 18 of the past 20 years, so Bama does not get the same support for winning ugly against them than a&m does versus beating a good program handily on the road.
USCe could turn out to be a 3-9 team and it would not change my opinion of a&m at the moment…they gained more yards than at any point in the Johnny Manziel era. and their D looked better than they did all of last year even against the scrubs..hell Rice moved the ball effectively on them last year.

As far as Bama, teams rarely drop unless they lose.
IMO, FWIW, aTm looked like the best team right now.
I agree that the rankings are mainly just good for conversation.

Which is why they should be around 8-9. First game of the year, first time starter, won by 10. It's ok to have some perspective. They are still a top 10 team, they just don't look like a top 2 team right now.

There's really no excuse for how rigid the rankings are in regards to the preseason.
They should be much more fluid and reflect when a team is having a hot streak or not panning out.
A&M, Georgia, and 4th qtr LSU looked like a top 10 team.
Bama looked nowhere near # 2

Who cares? The polls should be irrelevant at this point. Wait until the committee comes out with their poll and then we can start looking at polls

Not sure why anyone should be anywhere at this point. Yeah, A&M was impressive, on offense. The ranking system is pretty stupid until late October.
Where was Florida State and Auburn at in the ranks this time last year? Pretty sure Auburn didn't have one vote to be in the top 25.

1st half LSU would be unranked.
2nd half LSU is a top 5 team.
