I barely could hear the band because it was so loud when we were rallying and they were below me. But I could tell they were playing because the crowd below me was doing the cheers with them. No fault of the band, but a compliment on how loud the fans were.

Sitting behind the band will make it hard to hear them. That's why a few years ago they moved the band to horseshoe in the North endzone. The fans in the West upper couldn't hear them prior to that because they were behind the band. Now the band is somewhat facing everyone.
