I'd guess the answer is he probably skipped a lot of class. Showed up for tests (or hired someone to show up for him), and made passable grades. The larger question regards his acceptance, under those circumstances, to law school.

But why not release anything now if it was just poor grades? He has nothing to lose at this point.
That's what leads me to believe that, even with no more elections, what ever is sealed could really hurt him while in office.

So much this. Not only his acceptance as an (at best) average student (would love to see his LSAT if it was used at that time), but how did he pay for it?
That has always puzzled me.
