One trip to Pine Island in Vancleave on the River we ran across four wrecks , which included a fatality. The most ridiculous was a large 24 foot cruiser that was stuck in some trees. He had clearly tried to take his huge boat into a ten foot wide cut though with a 90 degree bend. He clearly tried to take the turn at least at 40 mph and launched the boat into the trees. It had a three foot hole on the hull. That was not the fatality. Half the rednecks on the river were drunk or stoned and they were two speeds that day, full throttle and idle. We were almost swamped a dozen times.
