Big 12...

even though it turned out to not be a factor, that ball placement/time out charge buffoonery on our 2 point conversion was bush league

Read in an article on Nola.com that it was b/c LSU came out the kicker room too late. I was in the concession line so didn't see it.

The kicker simply took too long. The 25 second clock starts on every play, including free kicks (kick offs) and PATs, when the Referee marks it ready for play and blows the whistle. If a team is taking an unusual amount of time to line up, you will usually see the attending official place the ball on the ground and retreat to his position, and signal to the Referee, who will blow the whistle, marking it ready. The kicker may not realize the clock is running, causing the time to expire.

No but I saw a personal foul prior to kickoff. Leave it to Tuberville.

Like grass smoothies, they had to invent this just for Les. Keeps his mythology alive.

seems like LSU is always in the lead on weird penalties. remember the taunting call against our punter that ran for a touchdown? don't think that was ever called again.

The clock was running was every kickoff. Wisky kicked one at 2 secs and we kicked one at 3 . I don't recall noticing this before .

I thought the crew was over their heads. They seemed more worried about breaking up the trash talk between players than making the right calls. For goodness sake, these are top flight programs. You don't call something like that unless someone deliberately disobeys one of your directives as an official. I hope we don't see this crew again.

Yes. LSU-UF in 2008. It was for kicking too soon, not too late though.
