I think I've used 3 sick days in 10 years. Strep throat & ear infection.

4 points for a sick day means 8 a year

You only work 3 days a week so that's about 5% of the time you can call in sick

More than fair imho

I have 3 white coats that I rotate daily. The thought of all of the shite that touches/lands on my coat during the day terrifies me

As nurses, y'all should have tons of drs. that will write any excuse you want.

Negative. You can be fired now if you try to ask the doctors you work with for a doctor's note or script for meds if you are sick.

Do y'all have some kind of a union or legal entity?

This seems risky for the hospital.

Looking over the chart, I'm thinking they got fed up with trying to last minute cover the shifts. Idk it doesn't seem fair but nurses must have been abusing the system?

My bonus is based on how profitable we are, I can't be profitable with women calling in sick all the time.

Yall make fun of me for how often I'm sick.

But honestly....I don't call in nearly as much as the other nurses. I may call in once every 3 months if that.

And I'm never late to work (I actually get here 30 minutes early every shift).

So this system shouldn't be an issue for me. Just sucks we are clearly being punished for those that abused the prior attendance policies.

You have a problem with your Mexicans not showing up for work?

Just run down to the Home Depot and pick up a few more. Can't be that complicated.

I don't see this policy lasting for very long.

It's hard to run a hospital with a couple of nurses.
