Why didn't you just proceed as normal at the gas station, go home to your house and go to sleep or whatever you were going to do? Sitting there for 15 minutes just gives them more reason to follow you.
I get that they were just looking for a reason to pull you over, but you made this into a way bigger deal than it was and in turn got you sent to jail for the night....

Sitting in my car listening to music and texting is a crime?
There is no proceed as normal. These are the same cops that once pulled me over claiming my headlights were too high.

Should have went home, pulled out a lawn chair, cracked a beer and sat in the front yard and watched them.
