What do you win for being an internet hard arse?

Do the Tigerdroppings moderators pay you for your efforts in making this board a 100% grammatically correct environment?

Do you get a false sense of earned respect when correcting people on tigerdroppropings internet forum?

I'm just trying to find out the reason someone would put forth effort in correcting someone, you will likely never meet in your life, on an internet forum

On that long touchdown run he had I thought for a second I was watching Jeremy Hill. I know he is not Hill but his size, the burst of speed and vision on that play defiantly reminded me of him

I don't see why everyone is praising him. He only broke 3 decent runs, and those 3 runs it was all oline & play call, any other one of our running backs would of done the same if not more.

He averaged 6.1 YPC on 18 carries...

last year they had him gain a lot more weight which seemd to slow him down quite a bit...this year they had him lose it making him more lean and a lot faster...its working...he did a very nice job last nite trucking a few of the defenders for sure...

Yeah. I saw LF picking up 3-5 on runs that should have been a yard loss. I saw Hilliard getting no yards after contact.

Any rb on the roster could have ran through those holes the way Hilliard did in the fourth quarter.

Someone's favorite RB didn't play as well as Hilliard.

no they didn't. every offseason he supposedly loses weight.

from 2012 (when he began the season with 6 TDs in 3 games, some of which were long runs):

NOLA.com

quote:

After playing in the 245-pound range last season - and still carving out 336 yards and 8 rushing touchdowns - Hilliard spent the offseason getting streamlined. He is listed at 231 pounds but said he has been down to 225.

The key has been how the weight has been redistributed, though, more than just pure weight loss.

from 2013:

NFL.com

quote:

The newphew of former LSU and New Orleans Saints running back Dalton Hilliard has slimmed down to 228 pounds, the lightest he's been since arriving at LSU, according to nola.com.

while I don't doubt he's trimmer than he was as a freshman, I'm not sure he's much lighter than he's been the last couple yrs. if Kenny gets carries, he generally gets a decent avg per carry, and will break 1 or 2 long. he just hasn't gotten many carries in a game since he fumbled twice in 2012.

Yes!

It was 100% the scheme change that caused those runs. We went in spread and they brought in nickel personnel, and dropped their safeties back. Then it was all Oline.

They got tired abd lost two starting Dline, too. A couple of successful, second half, passes really helped the run game.

I met Kenny when he first came to campus as a freshman super nice kid...he told me they wanted him to put on some weight so for the first couple of weeks he ate like nothing but fried chicken (true story) he shot up to like 250 after coming out of high school at like 225 lbs

he has definitely gotten a little bit leaner each year he has been at LSU so I'm excited for him

anyway it looks like he finally learned how to put on "good" weight

The holes he ran through were big enough for a truck and were created by injured defensive lineman being out of the game and Wisky had to play freshmen with less talent.

I love Hilliard, but this right here in a nutshell. Any RB could have ran through those open holes. Hilliard ran 3 times for 53 yards, right up the gut, untouched! Before that, his longest run was 4 and that was once. Magee couldn't get more than 2 yards at any point. Nearly every one of Fournette's runs was 4 or 5 yard gains.

The defensive scheme changed to stop the run, they lost the last line of defense with that guy late, and we went 3 wide.

I am a little bit concerned about Fournette's vision.

Honestly, I thought he was playing soft to start the game but the flip did switch at some point and he finished the game like a man possessed

OL was having problems with blocking scheme in first half. There were no good holes. Second half adjustments were made and holes opened up. Not taking credit away from KH. He did a great job at crunch time but the fourth qtr line holes were huge compared to first half.

It also helped a ton that the passing game started clicking and Wisc had to unload the box.

He looked very athletic and quicker than the last couple of years. Downplay it all you want, they guy played a very good second half.
