What if the second person just says "I'll have what he's having"

Problem solved, 1:2

If you could only pick 1 of each, then yes, but you can have combinations of different meats, different cheeses, different condiments.

Just did a rough calculation from the website and it's approx 1:2,562,560

If you tell me what your sandwich was I could come up with a more accurate number.

And yes I am very bored at work on the Friday before LSU's first game and Labor Day

In that case the probability is 1:5.5x10^11.

1/11 for bread
1/26 for turkey
1/26 for ham
1/26 for roast beef
1/9 for cheese/no cheese
1/14 for lettuce
1/14 for cucumbers
1/20 for brown mustard
1/20 for oil
1/2 for length choice
1/2 for toasted or not

Multiply all those together and there is your probability

If 2 people are in line at subway, what is the probability that they both order the same type of sandwich? Assume neither person knows what the other is ordering.

Each sandwich buyer chooses type of bread, length (6 or 12"), type of meat, cheese, vegetables, condiments, and toasted/not toasted.

About the same chance as me sleeping with Jennifer Anniston tonight.

Is it a blind test, or does one know what the other is ordering?
