NVA and VC casualties
The NVA were the best and most fanatical enemy soldiers ever faced by US military forces.
Many would have good points about other enemy soldiers we've faced in history, but, I would argue that, at best, they were equals to the NVA/VC.
The Japanese soldier was also fanatical, but, I submit that the NVA/VC were more tactically proficient.
Those little NVA/VC bastards were some seriously good soldiers.

Not so fast. Best? Germans in WWII. Fanatical? Japanese.

You're joking, right?

And what would you have to back up that argument?

There are verified instances of Japanese field forces inflicting heavy casualties and even battlefield defeats on US forces, including largest surrender of American forces since the Civil War. As for eh NVA, there was not even one instance of them inflicting anything resembling even a minor defeat on American forces during the Vietnam War.

They were good, but I'd not put them in the same category as Japanese Special Naval Landing Forces or the Waffen SS.

disagree, they were good, not so fanatica, just business like, hell they'd been fighting frogs for quite a while before we came along, like anywhere from a century to a thousand years
