How old was this toddler? I had a kid sneak outside once, scared me to death. Guess I was a shitty parent.

You had probably let you guard down bc it was your house, familiar surroundings, no pool, no danger.

I known mine has gotten out once because he darted out once when I was cooking and his sister slipped playing and I ran to check on her and the baby gate didn't close right and he went through the kitchen and out the door. Luckily he didn't get off the porch but they get so fast at that age.
