I hate this happened to her and hope she is ok. But as for the quoted statement, no she isn't.

Must have been on serious medication though to pull those off without acting like my 6 yr old nephew after 3 Mountain Dews.
perfect description, ironically, the only thing that I ever saw him in that was bearable to me was "The World According To Garp," and that's because of two things, beer sold in the theater, and Teri Garr
ETA: it wasn't a good movie to me, it's just that that was the only time I'd seen him not doing his coked up, asinine jibberish routine

You haven't seen Good Will Hunting, The Fisher King, Dead Poets Society, World's Greatest Dad or Awakenings?
How old are you?

I don't like his "art," OK? I've had root canals before, but I don't go in to get one unnecessarily just to make sure that I really might have just a bad experience with the previous one. jeesh everyone doesn't have to like everything. some people didn't like the Beatles

You do realize he won an Oscar, right? I'll bet you actually haven't seen any of the movies mentioned.

I get that and I'm not criticizing. And it was a serious question because I can easily understand that you haven't seen any of those movies if you are mid 20s.
For the record, I didn't like his stand-up either.

think that's more of a who's got the best PR people award than it is an indication of talent, no, I haven't seen those movies, because I saw enough of Robin Williams to know that I didn't find him entertaining in any way, he did rack up cool points IMO though, when he honored the pact that he and Christopher Reeve made to help the other, when they were starting out, if one of them became a financial success and the other needed help

sometimes I wish, but no, I'm much older and have been around for his entire career, no malice intended, I just didn't find him entertaining, to each his own, I've had to sit through a lot of his stuff with friends because they thought he was hilarious, the root canal wasn't looking so bad then

I'm with Triple Seven. No hate, but Williams just wasn't my cup of tea. Meh.

You do realize that he didn't "act like Robin Williams" at all in almost any of those mentioned, right?
He's very good in some of those films. Good Will Hunting in particular.
How is it possible to not have seen that movie?

Good Will Hunting
Awakenings
Some of my favorite non-comedy RW movies.

His acting is remarkably restrained in GWH.
When he talks to him on the park bench about being a man, about his wife...that is some really solid acting.

She has always sucked just like the majority of female comedians. She was just one of the first and was taken under Johnny Carson's wing early on. I never found anything about her remotely funny but her plasticized face.
