Ok maybe not.

Miles has not seen Fournette play in a college game, but already he does not buy the popular comparisons to six-time Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson.
“I don’t want to preempt a performance by saying something that, frankly, he’ll probably exceed,” Miles said. “I guess my point is, I’m going to let him define who he is.”

I know it is Miles speak.... But man! Don't want to preempt something more than what the best back of the last generation did

Miles said that in his weekly press conference this week when a reporter asked him, " who does LF remind you of?"

Context was not given in that article. The way I interpret that is not necessarily that Miles thinks LF has a long way to go, but rather let's not: a.) shite all over the other backs by over complimenting LF, and. b.) set LF up to get over confident.

That's the way I interpreted it from the moment I heard him say that. Not that LF is not as good as the hype.

I read that as Miles saying that LF will probably be BETTER than Peterson.

He will exceed the performance of Adrian Peterson.

Not suspect, but close.

If LF takes one off tackle maybe with a juke or and broken tackle and houses one about 60 yds, then this shite will get absolutely insane, especially with the national media.

We have all seen these can't miss stars who show up and struggle with the pressure. That's just not the case with LF. IF the media frenzy starts after a 100+ opener, the guy is ready and won't be changed.

Les is as vocally optimistic about LF than any other player we have ever had on his watch. That tells me alot. These rb's can take over and handle most games if our qb can do just enough to keep the D honest.

pump the brakes, people. All this stuff is just so silly. He hasn't carried the ball one single time yet in college.

I'm hoping to see great things, but let's just wait until we see what he does on the field before we start comparing him to one of the greatest backs ever.

Let's let that quote die. Will be fun to talk about next year, but right now it's undue pressure.

I read it as: "I don't want to talk in those terms, plus anything I try to predict for him, he'll probably exceed".

With all this hype, if Fournette doesn't walk on water and smite his opponents with the mighty fist of God, he will be a bust. It's fricking ridiculous.
