which group?

SRAM has the unenviable task of being "Ford" trying to compete with "Toyota".

Shimano has had a stranglehold on high end racing components since the late 1980s.

SRAM is new on the scene but has busted their arse to try to differentiate themselves..and yes they've had some real component LEMONS in the past but here's where they excel:

- unprecedented return policy and fixing stuff that breaks in conjunction with local bike shops

- they show up at amateur bike racing and club events like centuries and provide free wrenches and giveaways and in general, go around & ask questions of the racers and if they need help and FOLLOW THROUGH

shimano is like frick you, our shite rocks.

So SRAM has really done an amazing job in a short time turning what appeared to be a 2-company contest into 3..and gaining alot of fans in the process.


eta i still prefer shimano
