Electronic shifting is much smoother and consistent compared to mechanical, especially while under load.

Wireless is the wave of the future because it allows you to clean up the front end of the bike significantly by reducing cables, making the bike more aerodynamic.

Anything saved with less air drag (probably so little can't be measured anyway)...will be offset with the weight of batteries..transmitters and receivers (again, so little can't be measured anyway)

Anything to make someone get the next model
