I am contemplating moving from Chorus 11 to Super Record Electronic--I understand it actually works pretty well (not that I need it, but it seems like a pretty cool gadget).

that's quite an upgrade. To the other poster.. Electronic shifting definitely has advantages.. One thing in particular is it trims the front derailleur as the rear is shifting to prevent chain rubbing.
That and it's cool.
