Black people, especially women, have a major insecurity about hair. Good hair is a thing.
Then you have this whole class of "not good hair" that have made it a PC/racial thing to criticize "natural" hair.

Blue Ivy is a baby, who is African American. If her hair were brushed it would be a wreck. I am Cuban and may well be part black. Never knew brushing my hair was a problem until I stopped. No brush and no comb for the past five years, finger combing very gently only!
