That was a legitimate war fought by two states. Isreal likely has no interest in settling Sinai. Apples and Oranges.

The last treaty was in 2012 i think it was that ended a war, Isreal met zero of the critera spelled out in the treaty, such as easing of the blockade with UN international monitors (which would normally be acceptable to anyone, if not an absolute requirement) at the crossing to inspect cargo, extending the fishing zone in the sea, and several others.
