Welker owners, how worried at you?

Usually a concussion is no big deal, and a player will not miss significant time. But with this being his 3rd in less than a year, coupled with the NFL being extremely cautious with concussions now, how worried are you that he will:
a) miss significant time?
And
b) be less productive due to hesitancy?
I'm in a large league so starters are that much more important as we don't have many bench players, and I must say I'm fairly concerned.

I'm avoiding him in drafts

He will be knocked out again before the second half of the season. Seems like once you get your lights turned off like that, it keeps happening. He takes hard shots every game. He should retire. I would not draft.

I don't think he'll be any less productive when on the field.

Emmanuel Sanders is a guy I will be targeting.

CE Tiger hasn't slept since he heard the news.

I drafted him before the concussion thinking I got a good #3 WR. Now that the concussion happened I feel like he will have one or two games and then it happens again. If he retires then I can cut him with no afterthoughts. In a 12 man league it's not easy to find decent pickups.

WRs are the easiest to find on the wire IMO

I took a 9th round flyer on him sunday night as a wr 4. I am not too concerned if it doesn't pan out. I considered it about like the Josh Gordon deal while drafting.

In a 14 team league not so much, which is why I'm concerned

Coach John Fox said Wes Welker is doing "fantastic" in the concussion protocol.
Oftentimes, players with a history of concussions have trouble progressing quickly through the league's protocols. That doesn't appear to be the case with Welker even though this is his third concussion in the last nine months. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says there's a "lot of optimism from the team," essentially confirming that Welker has no intention of retiring and is on track to make a speedy return

like I said, he's my number 4wr and a 9th round pick. the risk/reward is certainly intriguing at that price. if he doesn't play, he gets dropped for another bench/back up guy. if he does, and miraculously avoids injury, he is top a top 20 receiver. same as Gordon. I would have drafted him too, but he went way to early. I like to gamble though.

I don't think he's the same as Gordon. You're looking at a top 20 receiver who is very likely to get knocked out again vs. a potential number one receiver.
I'm putting my money on Josh Gordon playing more games this year than Wes Welker.
But at #4, I guess it's can be worth the risk.

I'll take that bet

He's my wr2 so pretty worried. I have Reggie wayne as a backup but would like to have welker. He's pretty consistent for atleast 5-6 catches a game and maybe a TD. PPR league too.

I want Sanders more than I want Welker. He will produce as many points and you don't have to worry about the concussions.
