I don't think Jamal raped his daughter-in-law. I think he was checking to see if she was still a virgin. Did anyone else assume this?

I think Jamal hands over the kingdom to Barry in the first episode. He will ask for a gun to execute Barry then kill uncle Tariq. Book it

Then what's the deal with Nusrat and her victim mindset throughout the 1st season? It's clearly she took it out on her poor husband Ahmed who didn't do anything. I really can't stand her. Ahmed needs to get a new wife instead of having one that will lay in bed all day and ignoring her husband on an emotional and sexual level.
