We also have the luxury of getting to start the season against Bama in Dallas next year, and then of course the next matchup with LSU in Lambeau the year following that (which I will pay any amount to attend, as I grew up five blocks from Lambeau).

I guess if you want to be considered one of the big boys you need to step up and beat them.

I could be just way off here... but here goes (also, knock wood):

Why I think UW wins by 2+ scores - LOL

-LSU lost every playmaker on offense. Top two RBs, top two WRs, top two QBs even. They will likely have a few explosive plays, but the level of sophistication should be pretty low. They have a great OL, so there's that. I like Dave Aranda's scheming ability. - Pretty dead on, IMO

-LSU got gashed by Arkansas' rush last season, and I would say Arky's scheme is pretty similar to UW's. - Again, dead on and is the main ? going into this season besides QB

-We have a mobile QB now, which renders much of last year's tape invalid. Every run play now has a waggle option, which changes how the defense will play UW. What I don't know if if T-Mac can throw on the run. -Haven't seen the tape on the kid but if their attack is anything like oregon/A&M/etc...they are toast

-On that note, the Jet X sweep is now a threat to the whole field. With MG3 and CC as RBs, I don't know which defense in the country can stop them. Think about Arkansas' wildcat offense as an example. I honestly think MG3+Clement > D-Mac and Felix Jones.- Shut the frick up

-UW put up a hell of a fight against a *really* good USC team in last year's bowl. USC needed several circus catches, and UW's QB play sucked (thanks Stave/Phillips). The defense tightened down at the end against an NFL QB and NFL WRs. -USC was not *really* good..

-And on that note, UW's OL did a great job against a really phenomenal USC D-Line. UW had 293 yards rushing on 43 carries (6.8 ypc). That defense had quite a few players on NFL rosters now.- Almost our entire Defense will be on an NFL roster at some point. Good luck with that.

-Lastly, UW has a kicker now.-Ok bama

Prediction: UW 34, LSU 24

No problem. I've posted in a few threads and your sentiment has been expressed before.

If I was betting id put money on LSU. But, I would not be shocked if we win.

I'm really psyched for the game. I think it is going to be closer than most of your fans think. Special teams and turnovers make the difference.

Outside of what I'm reading about our kicker, this doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.

Interesting analysis.

So, not predicting a close game = low intellect.

Predicting a close game = high intellect.

I don't know enough about Wisconsin other than the typical bullshite that gets spewed here. So a few questions:

Alvarez/Bielema ball was my memory of Wisconsin football. Does that still serve true?

What are yall's (you alls) biggest/least concern about LSU?

1. Barry is now the AD. He laid he blueprint and his presence is felt. But, CGA is his own man and the schemes he runs are not the same. We still have big OL, but we are not really running a pro set lied we did under Bert when Paul Chrysr was our OC. He is now the HC at Pitt.

2. Our biggest concerns really have nothing to do with LSU. How will our new front 7 hold up. How will Tanner play. Who is going to catch the ball. Those questions are there regardless of opponent until we see it.

That isn't any disrespect to LSU. Just as your concerns about your young tackles performance isn't about UW.

That's where the returning players are at. So it's technically the strongest part of the D. The rest is unproven.
