It's a good thing they aren't here, means they are rather smart.

LSU wasn't chomping at the bit to come into Camp Randall for a night game either, though I'm sure both sides fans would have loved the true home and home.

(unless by "here" you mean Houston, in which case never mind)

This level of ignorance may be precisely why the pasty skinned visitors from up north avoid any and all LSU fans on their visit.
it isn't just completely off the mark, but is clueless regarding stereotypes. Wisconsin people are beer swilling, cheese eating, jorts wearing Midwesterners. Think the 70s show.

We aren't the fans who take dates to games while wearing blazers like some southern schools.

Most aren't here because they don't care. Maybe some of You don't realize it but a lot of folks don't understand why anyone goes to another teams board.

Lastly, we are reasonable and intelligent fans who don't waste time trying to discuss things with folks who are incapable of having a reasonable and rational conversation. And this board is full of those type of people.

The signal to noise ratio is atrocious.

Seriously Bucky? Read your last paragraph and think about what board you're on. WOW. You are the epitome of a hypocritical dork. Lol. All of this hate right, I can only imagine how you feel after your badgers get beat down.

Your own fans are calling out the noise. Not just in this thread.

A clever fan could have made a joke about various things about us and we would laugh. Wisconsin fans are the type who razz each other and opposing fans and if you take it and respond in kind we will be opening a brew for you. Ironing jeans? C'mon.

There are good posters on this board, but there is a ton of noise.

You are just use to it, Cliff Poncier.

Rustled. Lol. About ironing jeans. Yes, this riposte was so far over the line that our interactions with other Big Ten Schools seem tame. Hello noise.

Read the title of the thread. I explained why they aren't here.

Always respected the Wisky. To me they are the class of the big 10 and a quality program; people, area and teams. It's gonna be a tough game.

The jackasses from Ohio are the ones I have no use for...

First post, and like myself I know plenty of Badger fans that simply choose to not engage in the conversation/sign up for the website. I finally caved.

I have a feeling Wisconsin will have more fans at the game than most expect. I'd be there if not for a wedding my wife is the maid of honor in. I'm actually skipping the rehearsal dinner to watch the game. People up here are all very pumped for the game, most just don't bother with online message boards.. And you have to admit this time of year, while exciting, is pretty painful on message boards. One can only make so many predictions.

I'm thinking about buying all Wosconsin gear and sitting in your section and just cheer for LSU the entire time.

Taken from badger nation...

quote:

I could be just way off here... but here goes (also, knock wood):

Why I think UW wins by 2+ scores

-LSU lost every playmaker on offense. Top two RBs, top two WRs, top two QBs even. They will likely have a few explosive plays, but the level of sophistication should be pretty low. They have a great OL, so there's that. I like Dave Aranda's scheming ability.

-LSU got gashed by Arkansas' rush last season, and I would say Arky's scheme is pretty similar to UW's.

-We have a mobile QB now, which renders much of last year's tape invalid. Every run play now has a waggle option, which changes how the defense will play UW. What I don't know if if T-Mac can throw on the run.

-On that note, the Jet X sweep is now a threat to the whole field. With MG3 and CC as RBs, I don't know which defense in the country can stop them. Think about Arkansas' wildcat offense as an example. I honestly think MG3+Clement > D-Mac and Felix Jones.

-UW put up a hell of a fight against a *really* good USC team in last year's bowl. USC needed several circus catches, and UW's QB play sucked (thanks Stave/Phillips). The defense tightened down at the end against an NFL QB and NFL WRs.

-And on that note, UW's OL did a great job against a really phenomenal USC D-Line. UW had 293 yards rushing on 43 carries (6.8 ypc). That defense had quite a few players on NFL rosters now.

-Lastly, UW has a kicker now.

Prediction: UW 34, LSU 24

As much as I want to see Wisconsin go down in this game, their fans are actually sounding pretty reasonable in this thread.
