I'm actually doing the same thing with my lady friend on Friday. We're driving up from New Orleans. We are planning to try out The Shaved Duck before heading to Busch. Might check out the Arch Saturday morning before heading to Chicago.

I can barely handle a 5-6 hour car ride.

Its 10 or so hours from baton rouge or nola to stl. But its actually a really easy drive. Its all kind of broken up into segments. Its an easier drive than stl to chicago, which is about half that time.

Honestly, driving to Chicago for a Cubs game is one of my lifelong dreams (I will actually get two Cubs games in one weekend...Cubs at Cards on Friday and my ultimate dream, Cubs and Cards in Wrigley on Labor Day). So, she's making my dream come true.

I have heard really good things about the Shaved Duck, too.

Our hotel is right by the Arch, I believe. I'm within walking distance to about six breweries or tap rooms. Morgan Street Brewery is right there, Alpha, Square One, Urban Chestnut, Six Row, Schlaflay...we gon get so drunk.

From there, Chicago is about 5 hours. I'm so damn pumped for this.
