Yes. And this injury will have a direct effect on his production on the field.

The TE signing is a decent sign that he's not ready to start the season.

The trade shows they lack depth. No injury has ever affected his level of play. This one won't be any different

the pats had 2 TEs on the roster before.they traded for Tim Wright, they need depth there regardless of Gronks health. and he's a different type of TE than Gronk

they have been trying to find an answer to the move te position all preseason and found someone that, can.do it. Wright isn't a sign of gronks health at all

Well maybe I misread.

I took it that he was questioning how this injury would affect his play, which is valid.

An ACL is different, IMO. Which week did he tear it?

Jesus. Someone please quote where I questioned Gronk's production when he has been healthy. I said I want to see the old Gronk on the field playing before I trust a high pick on him. He has had 2 injury riddled seasons. If you blindly trust that he will produce this year, the good for you. I don't at a 30-ish ADP. He hasn't played a full season since 2011. In fact, in 4 seasons, he has played 2 full. So only 50% of his seasons in the NFL has he stayed healthy.

Named one person, other than AP, that had one late in the season and played at the same level the next year?

Maclin looks good. Revis looks good. Brady recovered well. Brian Bulaga recovered well. Might not all be late in the season but the recovery time is clearly not as long as it used to be.

Even those guys weren't the same until their 2nd season back. Gronk could, but the odds aren't exactly in his favor

Maclin was in training camp. Brady was week 1. Forget exactly when Revis had it, but it was def early and it took him a while to regain form. And IMO, he's not there yet.

I took him early third. Wasn't blown away by the receivers available there and I had Gronk in his break out season and he was my whole team.

Where is this 3rd round stuff coming from, I've had 4 drafts and he has been picked in the 4th or 5th in everyone.

I don't like Gronk at his current price (late 2nd).

I am seeing him go in the late 3rd / early 4th. With his ceiling, I think people are dumb to pass over him at that spot.

I can understand having trepidation in the 2nd rd but 3rd/4th people need to be targeting him.

As far as his outlook for the season, I am as high on Gronk as I am anyone in the entire league. I think he is about to blow up.

I took him at 3.3 in our league

ESPN's Adam Schefter says Rob Gronkowski (knee) remains in a "good spot."

Newly acquired Tim Wright will compete for snaps as a "move" tight end complement to in-line Gronkowski. They play completely different positions, so the trade does not shed any new light on Gronk's rehab -- which reportedly continues to progress without setback. Within the last week, Schefter has stated that he would be surprised if Gronkowski isn't ready for Week 1.
