Yes, I think I think all kids who pitch have to worry about their arms. Pitching is not a natural motion and can be damaging.

Running is a natural motion. Aguement and comparing the 2 is DUMB.

Running into 300 pound men at full speed is NOT natural. Being slammed into sideways by 250 pound men going full speed is NOT natural. Making a 90 degree cut at full speed is NOT natural.

You don't have or know a kid who is serious about playing sports on the next level. Kids and their parents think about injuries a lot, and more importantly, how to avoid injuries a lot. Why? Because kids and their parents have more common sense than you.

Of course elite HS athletes are fierce competitors. Of course elite HS athletes want to play as much as possible. HOWEVER, elite HS athletes and their parents give a LOT of thought to playing on the next level. They think about all kind of things. I don't know why you think they are so thoughtless or single-minded.

I never said it was THE deciding factor. Few, if any, decisions in life are based on ONE factor.

However, Brossette seems like an intelligent kid. Sure, he's an elite athlete and a fierce competitor, and he wants to play. However, I'm sure he'll consider many factors in his decision about where he will place college ball. And one fact you seem to ignore is that he WILL play wherever he goes. The only way Nick Brossette does not see plenty of playing time is if he gets injured. [Oh, did you see what I did there.]

The thing is, he doesn't have to be the #1 back for four years at LSU to get taken by an NFL team. He doesn't even have to be the #1 back for one year at LSU. If you're an LSU RB and you're good, you'll make it into the NFL. What you do from there is up to you.
