I'm about to throw the wife's Mac book out the damn window.
It all started when she downloaded a YouTube to music file converter and hasn't stopped since. I've tried googling but can't seem to find anything that works and I'm worthless on a Mac.
So pretty much issues are
A) Hot Deals pop up that shows things similar to whatever you are currently looking at.
B) random words are a link that is blue and underlined.
Please help cause if this shite keeps up I will small the CPU

Wait, no. Mac Malware Guide
ETA: If you wife still wants a YouTube>.mp3 convertor, use Piezo. It's in the Mac App store.

sounds like a browser extension is still installed
or you could type system preferences in the spotlight thing on the top right and go to users and see if something is starting up at log in all the time.
i typed something longer but when i submitted computer lost connection and it all was gone, so this is my lazy answer

It appears to just be an extension, shouldn't be that hard to get rid of it.
And for the peanut gallery, notice that a Mac getting adware is an noteworthy event, not an expected occurrence.
Plus, looks like the wife had to work to get it.
So there's that.
