Also, I wonder how warm the water in the quarry was. It's not exactly a good idea to dump ice cold water on your head then jump into warmer water. It could send you into shock.

That's definitely not it. Quarry was probably cold anyway

Don't see how you could blame the ice bucket challenge for this one

Really has nothing to do with the ice bucket challenge. This probably isn't the first person to die jumping into this quarry.

I knew it was a matter of time before someone died from the Ice Bucket Challenge....how long before this happens in America and are the ALS support/research groups ready to fight the lawsuit?

I'm surprised that nobody's had a heart attack yet from the shock of having icy water suddenly dumped on them.

This was in Scotland. The water was probably freezing.it barely gets above 60 over there and it's august. Instead of dumping ice water on them, they jump in freezing water. Why is this so hard to see the correlation?

No ice. No bucket. No challenge. Might as well say a kid who was hit by a car while riding his bike was killed by the ice bucket challenge. Would make as much sense.

Freezing water isn't necessarily ice. Frozen water is ice, smart arse.
