Someone is a dumbass for walking home in Nola?

Well the guy himself DID say he was walking around in a neighborhood where NO ONE walks at night. If he's going to do this doesn't it make sense that he would at least be packing some heat? I mean anyone's free to walk around these neighborhoods but they have to know they're risking their lives if they do.

Doesn't make it ok.

Next time you start one of your crying arse threads, I'm linking this one.

I'm going to bed. Continue to justify hate crimes, since they're only ok when they're against straight white men. Sleep well tonight, if you can. I know I will.

Rodney King riots? Atlanta? That's the first I've heard of riots outside of Los Angeles.

Yes, there were major riots downtown and around Morehouse College. A Korean family was almost burned out of their grocery store. I know several people that went to the emergency room from being attacked.

Cullman ain't what it used to be. It's turned into a fairly decent town now.

Somehow when I was young and stupid, we ended up at a strip club in Ensley ( a bad part of Bham). We were literally the only white people there. We didn't have any problems at all except for some old drunk black dude at the bar. He would have fought me, but he was too drunk to get up. He sat there cussing and calling me a cracker all while trying to kick me and my bar stool. The bartender and I thought it was funny.

You read WAY too much into my posts. I'm only stating that if you keep your butt out of potentially dangerous places chances are you're not going to get attacked or killed. That's all. Not justifying anything.

Don't think anyone is arguing that. Of course it would be nice to just be able to go anywhere, at anytime, and not feel uncomfortable or threatened (regardless of your race). It's just not how things are... society isn't a bowl of cherries.

Unless the two white guys were gay, in which case Toddy would have already broken out the pink camouflage!

Are you saying the black people in West Point are all haters of white people?

This is just a cop out. You know as well as I do that this was a racial attack.

No matter what comes out about this case now, it still doesn't change the fact that you were pulling crap out of you arse yesterday, otherwise you would have provided links to substantiate your claim.

For more thoughts on this I thought maybe get the original story and see if the local people were commenting on it.

This was a hate crime and needs to be treated as such

It will not be. As I understand it, the Police Chief will not, and it's putting the Mayor in a bad situation. PC is Black, Mayor White.

I would expect more with the news of the health of Weems.

Such as downtown Atlanta? I guess we should lock ourselves in our homes whenever blacks decide to rally behind a cause, because for far too many, violence is the only way they know how to express themselves.

Just let the terrorists win, as they say.

We did that for a LONG time when we were on the very WRONG side of history. ANY time someone black did something wrong or MAY have allegedly done something wrong, we were picketing and burning crosses and rioting in the streets. We are not on that side of history anymore. Thankfully.

Total and utter bullshite. The fact is very few except fringe groups burned crosses, rioted or hung anyone. The revisionist look at history and the "wrong" side of it exist only as a forum to further a cause. The truth is that integration has not brought blacks on an even educational footing as whites but has instead created a failed school system and decline in social mores. Look at any public school in our state and compare it to the days before integration. Not one is better.
Looking at every recent race related incident from Jena 6 to Ferguson and the fabrication of events and overwhelming need to demonize whites is evident. The victims of Jena were not the Jena 6 but the children attacked and beaten by them. One of the six was adopted by a SPLC lawyer and sent to the same boarding school as JFK jr. attended. The person attacked received nothing.
I have never considered myself anything but all inclusive of the American experiment however these events of late have served to harden my view on race and make me think differently. Like the saying says people are not born racist but are taught. I for one sadly have been schooled.

Yeah, we should go back to segregated schools. That'll improve social mores back up to the golden era of Jim Crow

Such as? I want a list of places, you racist.

You are an idiot. There are places that are majority black populated that black people are "afraid" of or don't go to. There are places with majority white/hispanic that the same race fear of going, that is reality. Most of these places are filled with ignorance and/or thugs, and they prey on what they perceive as weak. How you can pose the statement of wanting a list of places is pure stupid, it is appearant that you don't live in reality. You should get off here and get out more.

People are truly afraid of black people. Your life is in such turmoil because of black people I bet. I'm sorry but at some point in your life you have to accept that you have to live on the same planet as them.
