I'm a much bigger fan of Ron than Rand, but Rand is a much better politician. His chances of securing the nomination are certainly possible, perhaps probable given certain events, whereas there was never any real chance of Ron getting it.

Rand, just like his dad, does not have the party establishment behind him. I expect the establishment to push someone like Jeb Bush.
