Played and being on the team that goes are a little different. Also, players that only played from 2008-2010 did not play for a team in a national title:

Patrick Peterson

Or players drafted in 2003 or before:
Dominick Davis
Bradie James
LaBrandon Toefield
Josh Reed
Rohan Davey
Jarvis Green

There's a lot of gaps...but I like the positivity.

Donnie Jones was in the 1999 class. We can at least go that far back. There are plenty of players from the 2008-2011 class that played in the 2011 National Championship Game, but did not win it. LINK

he said at least ONE, not sure whyou you are debating that. Lavalais played a lot in the 2003 NC game.

Another way of saying the same thing is 1997 was the last LSU recruiting class where nobody played in a NC game.
