I cannot ever remember a president that has continually pissed on the military and law enforcement like he has. Being a lame duck president you would think for his own safety he would at least pretend that he respects them. It may come back to bite him in his arse.

Football season needs to start soon so we can rid ourselves of all these SEC rantards.

Every now and then Obama plays the blind squirrel, but most of the population has now been conditioned to just go along with the idea that everything Obama does is wrong no matter what. As everything in the country becomes tightly regulated and heavily policed year after year and law after law, I don't mind taking a step backwards.

But to hedge, I think he made this move for all the wrong reasons and is just playing a game of CYA.

The military's opinion of the president means exactly jack shite. Their job is to obey his lawful orders, whether they love him or hate him. If they start basing their performance on whether they agree with the commander in chief, this country is fricked.

Wrong, and as far as "lawful orders," I won't get into that right now.

Their job is to uphold The Constitution, and protect American citizens. This president, and presidents before have lied, and lied again, blatantly.

Do you see why we have such a big divide in this country? It's not because of the citizens, tax-payers, whatever...It's because of a ruling power, that wants more power.

If someone lied straight to your face, would you trust them again? Hell no. Why should we give any government official a free pass. Because frick you, that's why. And what the hell are you going to do about it? Nothing. Exactly.

Hence the part about lawful orders.

I think we should put more scrutiny on armed government workers with discretionary power over our lives.
