Listening to LE spokesman on Hannity...Officer Wilson followed academic LE protocol, in regard to responding to a life-threatening attack. We all assume that Holder/Obama will bring a Federal investigation/charge IF the Locals don't indict. An indictment from either - pandering to trumped up racist sentiments - yet totally unfounded in regard to LAW...could really open a Pandora's Box for Obama.

Obama has lost the good faith of the Military; and now, if he and Holder go forward with this politically-motivated demagoguery and in essence, open LE all across this land to the prosecutorial whims of Sharpton, the Black Panthers and Hood mob-rule manipulation of Law...wow...I'm thinking serious blowback from LE. That would be big. I'm seeing 'strike' on the horizon. LE WILL NOT tolerate this dangerous precedent. Nor should they!

I'm in the same camp. These local agencies are being treated as children and malcontents for doing their job.

The American people tolerated it when the Dept of Justice created an email address for the public to use to report any civil rights violations by George Zimmerman after the Trayvon Martin case. Hardly anyone seemed upset.

LE unions won't abandon their Democrat overlords.

I don't know how tall Eric Holder is. But I saw his twin brother play basketball against Centenary. And he was 6-6.

He played Power Forward for Hardin Simmons. Centenary won by 20 but Steadman was the leading scorer for the losers.

Point is, that if one cop - following academic, lawful policy - can be thrown to the wolves...whose next? I really don't think this parallels any other historical case.

The difference here is that the evidence does not incriminate the Officer...but it's the victim's accomplice, and various sympathetic individuals who started the 'no justice' narrative. Of course, the race-hustlers/overt racists (Black Panthers, Sharpton, lawyers, MSM, Obama Adm., et al) took that lie and ran with it. So...this is the new dynamic.

If I was a cop, I'd demand that my Union threaten a strike if the evidence is trumped up and this officer is indicted. No way cops go into hell with this kind of threat hanging over their head. Good grief...it's bad enough worrying about getting killed...now jailed for life, for following the Law!

My prediction. LE can not, and will not lay down on this one!

Yep, just like you assumed in the George Zimmerman case.

This wouldn't be a precedent. The precedent was set when Bush 41's administration prosecuted and convicted the cops who beat Rodney King, Law Enforcement didn't do a damn thing.

You'd have to impeach the half-wit occupying your statehouse, first.

Could be that they believed the accused were guilty. Still time left in this case for facts to be proven or disproven. I think that even if this cop is innocent of criminal/civil charges that the police nationwide should "blue flu" their stations for a couple of days to send a message that they don't want to have to fear for their life or their occupation every time a situation arises to where they may have to draw down on a suspect. Think long, think wrong. You could be dead.
