You are talking about Forte under a different regime

I'm talking about Brandon marshall...he came complaining back in the huddle for another throw.

I sat there and watched 4 straight fades to marshall, he caught the 4th... I'm not saying forte sucks and he's not a top 5 player, I'm saying between lacy and forte here is how I split it

in what 12 games he played significant time...lacy had 1100 yards, 11 TDs and and 35 receptions...no aaron Rodgers, cobb was hurt, then nelson for a time, two backups...it was a nightmare...I'm not saying forte sucks...I'm saying I think Lacy has the better year, has the better circumstances

Literally everything he posted about Forte made no sense. Forte is in a tier above Lacy. Both are first rounders and likely RB1's, but Forte is the smart money.

Lacy has an injury history too.

Forte caught 74 balls last year. You play in a Ppr league. Don't try and reinvent The wheel.

And was 3rd in the league in rushing attempts.

I am ok with someone liking Lacy more if they think he is a better player than Forte. But don't start making up bullshite about Forte that isn't true

I would agree except when I look at lacy, I'm looking at a guy who has tremendous upside

He can catch the ball too. Forte had a qb injury as well last year, it's just that the backup played like a starter...it was kind of seemless, and personally I thought mccown was a better qb than cutler under that system

lacy had a lot of shite go against him last year, and as a rookie rushed for 1100+ 12 TDs and 35 receptions...with Rodgers back and a full season to play and another offseason, I see no reason why lacy can't be a 1600 yard guy...increased ypc, 12 touchdowns in what 11 games last year...why can't he have 15-16 TDs this year?

I agree forte is the consensus and safe bet...but I like the guy with the better situation, I remember you were high on lacy last year as was I, where do you think his ceiling is?

I'd be curious to see forte's receptions under mccown and cutler...I don't recall there being a difference, but that's something I want to check out

The dude is dead wrong on Forte. I had him last year. He gets goal line looks, running and catching.

they're right, fore is the safer bet, but I do really like lacy's potential...I watch every game of his last year and he is a beast. If not for the BM cheapshot on the first carry of the game (you knew the instant he was hit)

he would have had even better numbers last year, he probably would've had 150 and 1 or 2 more TDs in just that game...redskins run d was atrocious last year, and his backup had a big day

I had him in 2012, when he wasn't nursing an ankle injury, he got no goalline looks, fricking none.

and trestman is a huge upgrade to mike tice...I just hate those two gigantic receivers who definitely get goalline opportunities via the fade, I think lacy increases his receptions and would beat the difference via his TDs and increased yardage

I could be very wrong, there is a risk...I like lacy better

I like Lacy too, but i think it's a safe bet that Forte has 2x's as many catches as Lacy. Green Bay has never been a team to dump to RBs much.

If he plays 16 games he's a lock for 1400 yards at the least and double digit TDs.

But he does have an injury history

quote:

Injuries limited Lacy to seven games as a high-school senior in 2008. After redshirting in 2009, he made it through the 2010 season intact before being affected by a turf toe injury down the stretch in 2011 and undergoing surgery in January 2012.

Last season, Lacy had an elbow injury and then a left hand injury that one personnel man said required the insertion of seven screws late in the year.

At the combine in February, Lacy couldn't work out because of pectoral and knee injuries. He also came up with a pulled hamstring that eliminated him from Alabama pro day March 13.

Forte finished as the #2 PPR RB last year. I don't think Lacy has a whole lot more upside than something Forte accomplished last season.

exactly, we're just talking about a slight difference in ranking

the better the players, the harder the negatives to find. With lacy, I'm just looking at a lot of positive changes to his situation as a rookie

Then why wasn't forte the consensus #2 pick last year?

I'd personally go Calvin at 5 if he's there over Forte and Lacy in PPR and try to get two more beasts at WR in the following 2 rounds..

What kind of moronic question is that? Why wasn't Antonio Brown ranked as the #3 receiver last year? Do I really have to answer why a players ADP doesn't precisely sync up with his finishing position? He was a top 20 pick who was one of the most valuable players in fantasy.

Forte is getting drafted much higher than last year because he had a career year & a number of players that were drafted ahead of him (Martin, Morris, Foster, Spiller, Richardson, Rice, Lynch) last year have justifiably fallen below him.

Not a fan of going WR WR WR this year. Not enough RBs in the 4th and 5tg

If you're just penciling him in for those numbers this year why not last year? Peyton manning threw 28 TDs the year after he threw 49. How do you KNOW forte is going to replicate that. I always play it safe in round 1 and it bites me in the arse every time. I don't follow the board in later rounds and I crush it

You act as if there isn't an element of unpredictability, I'm trying to trade back because I think lacy is 100% going to give me 1200 and 12 TDs, and I think the upside is great. I move up in round 2, get someone I want and couldn't otherwise get.

Last year if I said forte over Martin (and it was more than the injury for Martin) you'd have the same reaction

I haven't stated he's going to replicate anything. I think he's a safer bet to produce 1st round value than all RBs outside of Charles, McCoy, & Peterson though.

Not everyone is as big of a fantasy stud as you are so they may prefer not to gamble in the 1st. I'm not playing in any snake drafts this year so I couldn't care less which predesignated slots these guys are boxed into, but I guarantee you'd I'd pay more for Forte than Lacy in an auction.
