"Bless you" is as much talking against the rules as is "frick you".
"Bless you" shouldn't be against the rules because it is wishing someone well while "frick you" should be against the rules because it is wishing someone ill.

Depends on who and how they are saying "frick you"...

True. If you go to Walmart you will see women so repulsive that 'frick you' would be a wish for them to eventually have sex.

I noticed that "I don't know" is one of the things that students are banned from saying.
What is acceptable for a student to say when they are asked a question about something and they don't know the correct answer?

Could have used it as an interesting topic on the origination of the phrase.

How about when they say "frick you" the same way I am saying it to you right now.

I heard that the word "frick" and the phrase, "you got fricked" originated when the King of England closed down a play that included comments criticizing the King.
The King would shut the play down by having someone screw a wooden plank across the two doors to keep them from being opened.
The initials "F.U.C.K." were carved into the wood which stood for "Forbidden Under Censorship of the King".
The phrases, "you got screwed" and "I got screwed" also originated back then because of the screws that were used to attach the wooden plank to the doors.

No one is saying that. But this is an alleged quote from the teacher

We're not going to have that godly speaking in this class

Ridiculous. If you can't be tolerant of someone saying "bless you" you are a bigot.
It's not about the words. It's about the disruption. You know darn well that kids will start fake sneezing to illicit fake "bless you's" just to annoy the teacher.

Actually, this whole social custom of saying "bless you" after a sneeze is pretty stupid.

Does it bother you enough to be a whiny little bitch about it?
Tell you what, if I ever hear you sneeze, instead of saying "bless you", I'll say "go frick yourself".
Actually, you don't even have to sneeze. Rex, go frick yourself.

I support the firing of this teacher without notice, leave or any kind of compensation.
good bye!
good bye!

It's not about the words. It's about the disruption.
I mean they could all start chanting "Rex is an a-hole" too. But I don't think they should be banned from saying it.
Secondly... why do several people say e teacher has overtly expressed a problem with "godly speech?" Do you think they are all lying?
quote:Don't tell me what I know. In fact, I don't know that to be true. And I see no evidence that it happened?
You know darn well that kids will start fake sneezing to illicit fake "bless you's" just to annoy the teacher.
Are seriously taking the position that phrases should be banned on hypotheticals?
Fu*k I miss the days when liberals were for free speech.

OK, suppose a student said "Hey, let's all make a circle and sing We Love Rex on Tigerdroppings" and they do a dance honoring you. Should they be expelled?

Probably because some of those students had already used it in precisely the manner I described.

This is about disrupting class, not the words she said.
The media outrage and political rhetoric over the "so called" racial incident in Ferguson is designed to instill a sense of fear and anger in the black community. This news story and corresponding rhetoric designed to do the same for white evangelical types.
They are both great examples of the major political parties trying to use incredibly one sided and dishonest media coverage to galvanize their base ahead of the mid term elections.
I suggest you let this slide. It's a bullshite news story designed to make you angry. Don't be one of the useful idiots.

Even if the original whole social custom for saying "bless you" after someone sneezed was stupid, the whole social custom for saying it has changed over the years so you should be in favor of saying it.
After all, you are one of the people who think the original whole social custom of marriage being only a union of two consenting adults of the opposite sex is pretty stupid and you are in favor of changing it to also being a union of two consenting adults of the same sex.
