If it was based on nothing but white guilt, that would be one thing. Issues that are typically fall apart (see FSU's Seminole). The white guilt logic obviously doesn't make sense:

A long time ago our forefathers slaughtered and mistreated the Natives and took their land
We're sorry about that
Not really that sorry though, we're not giving it back
So we're gonna change a team name

We've seen issues built on nothing more than liberal phony white guilt, and the silly logic above is exactly why they lose steam and fall apart very quickly. This issue continues to persist. It's time to consider that there may be more to it than just white guilt.
