In fact, the times I was pulled over and harassed endlessly by those frickers, I did not once bait them. I knew better.

Yep, when they came in my cabin under false pretense (illegally) I didn't push back. Did get my dog out of the cabin though.

Comply with them, video tape it if you can. Make sure they know you are taping it. May irritate them, but at least you will have evidence if anything improper does happen. Don't bait them in any other way.

I probably shouldn't be so harsh towards cops...

After I got in shape and cut my hair, I did get out of two tickets a few years down the road by simply being polite. LOL

One time I was speeding (20MPH over) on a two-lane highway in the middle of nowhere. I passed a cop coming the other direction. Didn't see him till it was too late as he was coming over a hill towards me.

He hit the lights immediately, but being that we were in the middle of nowhere, he was going to have to go a ways before he could turn and pursue me.

I thought to myself "hmmm there are a few roads I could turn down before he is able to turn around and he may never find me, but if he does, I'll be in bigger trouble".

What did I do? I found a wide shoulder a mile up the road, pulled over, and waited for him.

About three minutes later I can see him coming over the hill in my rearview.

He got out of the car laughing. He couldn't believe I pulled over like that.

"All my years of being on the force, I've never seen this. Hell, I thought I was going to lose you. I didn't get to turn around for almost two miles. You could have gotten away. I just want to know your name so I can tell you thank you for being accountable, then go home. I'm not even going to run your license. If you have any warrants, today is your lucky day".

So, not all of them are frickers.
