Ok need some help. I remember when I was a youngster that the earlier seasons, roughly 3-8, were side splitting. But unfortunately I don't exactly remember specific episodes. Can some of yall veterans who know this better than me give me like 10 or so to record? No interest in anything after around the year 2001 or so.
I already know I'll do marge vs the monorail, who shot mr burns, homer at the bat, and whatever the one is with hank scorpio (what was the title?) I know this is like Seinfeld where it's impossible to make a definitive list of the best ones, I get that..but what are some MUST RECORD ones from that time frame?

Hank Scorpio is You Only Move Twice. Mr. Plow is also a great one. Cape Feare also.

FXX has a good lineup during the day, I'd rather see reruns of Arrested Development and Parks and Rec than a Simpsons marathon. Oh well.

Monorail episode is a classic. Written by Conan O'Brien
My favorite ever is The City of New York v Homer Simpson. That's first ep of season 9 though.
Another one I like is when Homer eats the hot pepper and has a Carlos Castaneda moment with his spirit animal that's voiced by Johnny Cash.
Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any episode written by John Swartzwelder

This is a great stretch right now with season 2, greatest season imo. Also the best episode ever comes on at 7, "Bart the daredevil"
