This truck is almost too easy to work on. I had two Tacomas that were just as easy. What makes them so easy is the room that they have to work and the fact that they don't hide fasteners. The main point behind this thread was that everyone thinks this stuff is hard, but when you take the time to figure it out, cars aren't really all that complicated. You can save a whole bunch of money doing it yourself.

I am expecting the exhaust manifold bolts, the lower ball joints, and the idler arm to all be tough though.

Update on the exhaust manifold:

Actual exhaust manifold bolts came out easily. Only snapped the head off of one, and it fell off right when I touched it. Been fighting with the downpipe bolts for about an hour and cannot get those bastards to break loose. Tried BP Blaster and an impact and then heat and the impact, but they don't want to budge. Tried drilling the bolts, but they must be grade 8 because I barely scratched the surface after a couple of minutes. Probably gonna have to cut them with a dremel tool, which will take forever

Eta: A 36" breaker bar + 2ft jack handle broke 3 loose. I was pulling with all I had. The nuts rounded off on 2 others, and the other one ain't doing shite.

*I would not suggest this for anyone without a shop to try unless your shite is spotless. No pics because don't do it
