per them his grades suck. which of course is a red flag. but if someone is transferring there is often going to be a red flag, and there could be far worse red flags.

grades? meh, doesn't bother me. But typically if he can't cut it at Bama for grades, I'm not sure I use a scholly on him here.

And, ETA, Williams would see a ton of pt at Bama this year.

And I remember fans ridiculing LSU staff for backing off Williams due to some character concerns with his recruitment.

Grades?

If you are a good enough player there are ways to fix "grade problems". I'm sure every team in the SEC has guys who are probably borderline illiterate who, because they are good enough players, figure out a way to make the necessary grades.
