Eta: but some bright arse lights are very helpful when pulling up to the blind, putting out deeks, etc.

No doubt they definitely have there time and place but people using them while making relatively easy runs down places like Bayou Terre aux Boeuf with a full moon is a big pet peeve of mine. But hey, I guess it is safer then the yahoo's running 12-14ft skiffs with no running lights at all.
