I tend to disagree. I think the narrative was set when the friend gave his account (shot in the back, trying to surrender) and after that nothing else has or will matter.

Which is why I asked yesterday if the friend could be prosecuted if he gave materially false and misleading statements in a homicide investigation.

Fair enough. I think locally that may be true. I was thinking more nationally.

I agree. The looting started immediately, and the crowds were chanting and holding their hands up in the " surrender" posture. The media ran with it, and the momentum of speculation of a coverup was rampant.

Simple formula: white cop + black man dead + looters+ media = this
